Merton Park railway station
Merton Park railway station was a railway station in Merton, South London on the Tooting, Merton and Wimbledon Railway and now a tram stop on the Croydon Tramlink. The station opened on 1 October 1868 as Lower Merton. It was renamed Merton Park on 1 September 1887. Merton Priory
Merton Priory was founded in 1114 by Gilbert Norman, Sheriff of Surrey under Henry I. It was located in Merton, Surrey, England (now the Colliers Wood area in the London Borough of Merton) at the point where the Roman Stane Street crossed the River Wandle.
